Bangladesh Vs Zimbabe Preview

Bangladesh will look to wrap the series up when they take on Zimbabwe in the third One-Day International (ODI) of the 5-match series in Dhaka. The hosts haven't won a bilateral ODI series since they beat New Zealand at home same time last year.

Zimbabwe, on the other hand will look to give a better account of themselves after a couple of indifferent performances that had captain Elton Chigumbura rue his side's inability to learn from mistakes.

Bangladesh would be boosted by the form of fast-bowler Mashrafe Mortaza, who has, so far, taken five wickets in the two games. The fact that he thinks he is only at 80 percent of his level augurs well for the team.

With Shakib Al Hasan, Tamim Iqbal and Anamul Haque showing good touch with the bat, Bangladesh will have every reason to believe they can get the job done.

Zimbabwe, on the other hand, did well to restrict Bangladesh to 251 in the second ODI but lost their way early in the chase. Solomon Mire showed that he is a useful middle-order batsman and could do with some assistance from the top-order. The good thing is that Zimbabwe realise that they now have a must-win game and that in itself may turn out to be the inspiration they so dearly seek.

Pakistan vs New Zealand 3rd Test Sharjah Cricket Association Stadium .

New Zealand head to Sharjah for the third Test against Pakistan, buoyed by their performance in Dubai and the added boost of Daniel Vettori's reported comeback. They would like to use the momentum gained to level the three-match series 1-1. Pakistan, on the other hand would like to hope that the drawn Test match was just an aberration after recording four successive Test wins.

The New Zealand team think-tank would be particularly pleased with Ross Taylor's return to form in the second innings of the Dubai Test. The former captain's century helped New Zealand survive a tricky phase on the fourth day. However, the performances of all-rounders Corey Anderson and James Neesham will come under scrutiny after failures in the first two Tests. The talk from the team is that Daniel Vettori would join Ish Sodhi and Mark Craig in a three-prong spin attack. Should that happen, one of the two all-rounders might be sacrificed.

Pakistan will hope to see Mohammad Hafeez return to the top of the batting order after an hamstring injury ruled him out of the Dubai Test. However, Pakistan will miss Hafeez's off-spin on the Sharjah surface expected to assist spin. In his absence, Pakistan had to resort to opening with Shan Masood and Taufeeq Umar without much success. The rest of the team that played the second Test should play again.

Before the last Test match at Sharjah in January 2014, Saeed Ajmal called for more assistance to spinners from the pitch. The pitch, despite being excellent for batting in the first three days, offered turn and bounce on days four and five. Ajmal, Abdur Rehman and Rangana Herath took 15 of the 35 wickets that fell in the Test match. And, if Mike Hesson's(New Zealand coach) statements are anything to go by, the pitch in Sharjah would be the slowest of the three venues used in the Test series.

Messi break the record of Raul's Champions League Record

Messi
The Argentina Striker Lionel Messi another hat-trick at APO.EL on Tuesday and Messi is now the all-time top goalscorer in the Champions League with 74 goals. Congratulation Lionel.

Lionel Messi keeped his place as the highest goalscorer in Champions League All time history in typically emphatic fashion by grabbing a hat-trick as Barcelona won 4-0 at APOEL on Tuesday. First goal by Messi in the 38th-minute, saw him break the record held by former Real Madrid and Schalke star Raul as he claimed his 72nd goal in Europe's elite club competition. It also took him two ahead of long-time rival Cristiano Ronaldo. He followed it up with two more in the second half: the first a clever chip over the advancing goalkeeper after a nice through ball from Dani Alves; the second a tap-in after Pedro had cut the ball back. The 27-year-old has accumulated his haul in 91 games for Barcelona in the Champions League, while Ronaldo has scored his 70 in 106 matches. Raul needed 142 appearances to reach 71 strikes. Ronaldo is in action for Madrid at Basel on Wednesday.
